The Third Period: 2006 - Today

Like any other enterprise willing to remain competitive in the marketplace, Euroimpresa must be able to read the external inputs and reply to them through a strategic vision. This requires a good dose of adaptability and flexibility to be used against the sudden changes coming on all fronts which may influence Euroimpresa’s effectiveness in supporting local policy guidelines. Just to remind the major changes that occurred in the last years:

  • Reduction of the structural funds, due to the enlargement of the European Community, and its consequences on the 2007-2013 planning
  • Change of the legal framework regulating European tenders and grants (new eligibility criteria) and the national legislation (e.g. Bersani Act)
  • The current world economic situation that caused heavy consequences on the production system

The projects implemented in the last three years are coherent with the guidelines identified in the Strategic Plan and in some cases anticipate the needs of the territory. They give evidence to some important themes like Corporate  Social Responsibility (Agenda and Chance Projects), Research and Innovation, Administrative  Simplification (“Armonizzazione sportelli unici attività produttive dell’Alto Milanese” Project), Environment (“PIA – Parco del Ticino” Project).

However, the sharpening of the effects of the economical crisis put Euroimpresa in front of new incoming challenges. The aim now is to progressively enforce the role of “facilitator” for the innovative development of the local production system.
The most recent projects focus on the creation of stable networks and cover different areas of intervention:,

  • The territory – 236/93 Project
  • The entrepreneurial system – Energy cluster
  • The development of international partnerships – Tex-EASTile

In parallel, Euroimpresa aimed to the enlargement of these networks with the contribution of structures and organizations that can bring strong competences on specific themes. Cooperation agreement have been signed with Centro Tessile Cotoniero of Busto Arsizio, LIUC University of Castellanza, il Centro Ricerche e Prove Nuovi Materiali, il Parco del Ticino, Afol – Agency for Training and Labour of the Milan County, Milano Metropoli.
All these agreements indicate a path of progressive strengthening of collaborations, which will be instrumental for new initiatives in the future.
